Teurfs

Ryan Teurfs, born in Houston, Texas in 1973, began his journey in borosilicate glass art in the early 1990s in Humboldt County, California, becoming a self-taught flameworker. He is renowned for his innovative honeycomb cane technique as well as intricate millefiori and murrine work developed at West County Glass. Teurfs founded 101 North Glass, a significant production company that influenced many future glassblowers, and later co-founded Blackstone Glass and West County Glass. His work is characterized by extreme precision and mesmerizing optical qualities.
