Chris Ahalt

Chris Ahalt is a flameworker based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, known for his sculptural glass creations, particularly his "animal balloon" series. He was introduced to flameworking in 1998 and in 2005, he apprenticed under master flameworker Cesare Toffolo in Murano, Italy, where he learned Venetian techniques. Ahalt graduated from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design in 2000 with a BFA in Sculpture/Furniture Design. His work has been highlighted in American Craft Magazine.
