Carlson Jones
Chris Carlson, known in the glass art community as Carlson Jones and LostArt, began his glassblowing career in 2001 after a chance encounter with Tommy Chong. He quickly became proficient in production work at Chong Glass Works, making numerous pipes daily. After leaving Chong's and the subsequent "Operation Pipe Dreams," Carlson moved back to Los Angeles and started his own underground glass operation in his mom's garage. He later moved to Eugene, Oregon, in 2006 to be part of its thriving glass community. Carlson is renowned for his mastery of the basket weave pattern and his distinctive Sherlock pipes, and he has taught his techniques at prestigious institutions like Pilchuck Glass School.
