Buck
Ryan "Buck" Harris, known as Buck Glass, is a leading contemporary American sculptor whose innovative work in borosilicate glass redefines the boundaries of fine art sculpture. Based in a riverside studio amid Oregon's wild forests, Buck has spent over two decades mastering the art of flameworked glass, drawing profound inspiration from the organic forms and untamed energy of the natural world. His sculptures are renowned for their anatomical precision, intricate symmetry, and vibrant optical depth, including monumental skeletal forms, luminous chandeliers, and ambitious architectural compositions. In 2024, Buck made history with the first permanent installation of functional glass sculpture at the Museum of Glass. His self-taught technique is characterized by meticulous construction and a distinctive visual language.
